Negative Nancy

Here is an email sent from an adjunct teacher to the head of the music department at U-- (I dashed out the names to protect the innocent):

T--,
Could you please give me some information on D----- T----? He came last night to class with a very negative attitude and I am wondering if he has to take this class for graduating requirements. First of all he didn't come to the first class. He had called my home and was wondering about what time the class was, I returned his call and left a message as to the time, I also e-mailed him with the group giving directions and all of that. He claimed he doesn't read his e-mail....Anyway, he was also not aware that part of the requirement of this class was to come in for observation and work with real students.

He told me it wouldn't fit into his schedule....
I'm thinking that he should probably drop the class. I'm not sure if I want him working with my students. Please advise me of what I should do. thanks for your help. A--
